Please do not be fooled by Obama's rhetoric yesterday about a troop withdrawal from Iraq by year's end. Remember this picture? Bush had conservatives fooled that the war had ended May 1, 2003 barely a month into the war. Even if we pulled all of our military out there would still be tens of thousands of state department workers and contractors like Blackwater in the country.
Before you crack open the champagne ask yourself - is this a victory? No "nuculear" weapons were found, oil profits did not pay for reconstruction, & we did not avenge 9/11 because Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 as even Bush has admitted. To add insult to injury, the new Iraqi government has voted against immunity for our troops effective Jan 1, 2012. Coincidence? I think not.
