U.S. Mayors to Push for First Anti-War Resolution Since Vietnam

Link to article

It's nice to see that after five wars have been started under both elephants & jackasses, a group of politicians is finally standing up to say enough is enough. I am not naive - I have no false hope that this resolution will be honored in any way, but at least I know many others think the same way as me.

The fight against the teachers, police, firefighters & other public servants is a fraud. There is plenty of money in this country, but the majority of it has gone to useless wars, banksters on Wall Street, & foreign aid to countries like Pakistan, Israel, Iraq, etc.

It is true that the mayors do not have the legal power to do anything with this resolution, but all citizens have the moral duty to take a stand when the corrupt filth in the District of Criminals & elsewhere do things in our name that we do not like.

On a side note, I should point out that even though we are militarily engaged in five countries (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya) the resolution only mentions two.   Maybe I am nitpicking, but the entire War on Terror(tm) is the problem - not just the two "poster children" Iraq & Afghanistan.
