"The indefinite-detention provision in the defense authorization bill seemed to many civil libertarians like a betrayal by Obama. While the president had promised to veto the law over that provision, Levin, a sponsor of the bill, disclosed on the Senate floor that it was in fact the White House that approved the removal of any exception for citizens from indefinite detention."
And that is why NO ONE who supported this deceiving criminal in chief the first time around should support him this time. Obama, like 99% of the politicians before him, lied to you. He said what he needed to say as a candidate to get elected. On day one of his presidency he became President Barack Obama (tm), sponsored by Goldman Sachs, the Military-Industrial Complex, and Corporate Lobbyists. Since then, the Powers That Be have had "left cover" for their agenda of endless war, wealth transfer from the middle to upper class, and a full out assault on our civil rights.
