The Tenth Amendment can be used to counter the federal government's (specifically the executive's) dictatorial power grab with the indefinite detention provisions within the NDAA. In 1798, Jefferson and Madison lobbied the state legislatures in response to the Alien and Sedition Acts which threatened the freedoms of speech and press. Eventually the laws were overturned and Jefferson became president in what some have called the Revolution of 1800.
Call your state senators and plead with them to begin to draft similar legislation for your state.
