Stop the NDAA (in New Jersey)

Attention New Jersey!

I have a meeting this Thursday (3/1) with state Senator Anthony Bucco (25th district).  I am hoping to convince him to introduce legislation in Trenton to nullify the NDAA in New Jersey.

For those who don't know - the National Defense Authorization Act was passed by Congress in December and signed into law by Obama on New Year's Eve (while everyone was distracted...or wasted).  Most of the law is boring financial appropriations for the military, but Sections 1021 and 1022 allow for the US military to arrest American citizens who are suspected of aiding terrorists and detain them...indefinitely...without a trial or the right to face their accusers.

This law (if you can call it that) is a complete violation of our Bill of Rights.  EVERYONE has the right to a trial by a jury of their peers.  Seven states have introduced legislation condemning this unconstitutional act by Congress.  With your help (and Senator Bucco's ear), New Jersey can be #8.  Please sign my petition if you want to preserve the great ideals our country was founded on.
