The Obameter: Campaign Promises That Are Promise Broken

Link to article

Hopefully we'll see the same critical diligence this week from everyone when the Democrats come together to spew their lies en masse.

I noticed a few omissions from this list.  The Peace Candidate promised the most transparent administration ever which would be laughable if we weren't talking debt and death.  He has been just as secretive as Bush (who was often compared to Nixon!).  And he also promised not to appoint lobbyists to government positions which he did right after he took the oath and he continues to encourage collusion between the private sector and the regulatory bodies that were created for the safety of We the People.  Michael Taylor, a former VP at Monsanto and now Senior Advisor at the FDA, is just one example.

The biggest disappointments I have with this president are his covert operations overseas that cost us billions, violate his constitutional powers, and kill innocent people; and his signing of the NDAA which is one of the most dictatorial pieces of legislation (along with the PATRIOT Act and the Sedition Acts of 1798 and 1918) ever signed into law in this country.  They're not on this list because I suppose he never promised he wouldn't be a dictator - although I think that's implied when you petition the people for the highest office in the land.
