Of course the media is silent. Their agenda is failing.

Veterans Return Medals During Chicago NATO Protest
Link to article
I salute these veterans in their bold act to stand in opposition to wars of conquest, but there are plenty of others who feel this way and have not spoken out. "Support Our Troops" is not just a slogan. Supporting our troops means to give them the help they need to cope with the atrocities committed in war.

CPD won't respond to their aggressive harassment of independent journalists covering the anti-NATO protests in Chicago. Imagine my (total lack of) shock!

"'There's no honor in these wars,' said Villatoro, before he threw away his medals. 'There's just shame.'"
This statement summarily explains why there are more suicides than combat deaths in the military.

Riot Gear Cops Rain Down Blows on Protesters
Link to article
“While there have been scuffles with individual protesters, the Chicago Police Department has acted professionally and with restraint as protesters refused to disperse,” one city official said.
Yes...it's very professional to beat peaceful, unarmed protesters (one who was protecting a woman from an aggressive cop!).
I'll put money on the future revelation that the skirmishes today were started by undercover police posing as black bloc anarchists...just like Seattle '99.

NATO Protests in Chicago: Police Van Drives into Protesters, Web Video Reporters Detained, Held at Gunpoint

Police van runs into a protester, independent journalists harassed and detained...
This is a great recap of everything that went on yesterday in Chicago during the #noNATO protests. It reminds me a lot of what happened in Seattle in 1999 during the G8 protests.

Guns Drawn on Journalists, Car Raided at NATO
Last night journalists were harassed, intimidated, and detained by gun-wielding Chicago police officers at the #noNATO protests.
"The place we were staying was earlier surrounded by CPD, no clue as to what happened but upon return the doors were open and alarm was going off. As we headed back after the march we were surrounded by CPD, about 6 vehicles, about 7 officers cuffed, detained, and interrogated us. We are at a safe place."
After hearing our place was surrounded by police under suspicious circumstances we were worried about tampering with our equipment. On our way back we were surrounded by unmarked police cars, they approached us with their guns drawn, cuffed, and interrogated us. They took everyones IDs but mine." - Tim Pool

If you brew beer at home you might be a terrorist. Well take the might out of that because three people are being held today for it.

This is not good. We could see a repeat of Seattle '99...or worse.
Disappearing activists (arrested with ILLEGAL warrants), cell phone jammers, army trucks...if this doesn't get your blood boiling, then Samuel Adams has a few words for you:
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!"
