If we still had Glass-Steagal, criiminals like Jamie Dimon would not be able to lose our money because JP Morgan Chase would be a commercial bank and not an investment bank.  The repeal of Glass-Steagal, under the Clinton administration, gave banksters free reign to steal and, most often, lose our money in foolish, risky investments.
