Obama Backs Gay Marriage

Kudos to Obama and North Carolina for amping up the gay marriage debate. That makes the presidential debates much more interesting because if it was about the NDAA, Internet security, or the Bill of Rights it would go something like this...
Obama: "Americans do not have any rights that the government does not grant them. We can hack into your Internet history and arrest you whenever we feel like it."
Romney: "I agree with the president. Let's open Gitmo to Americans!"
Obama: "Good idea, Mitt!"

This is merely a ploy by politicians and the media to divert the political discussion to issues like abortion, gay marriage, and the like because the Republicans and Democrats can get up and pretend to be on opposing sides. On the real issues - war, the economy, civil rights - the Republicrats are in lock step with each other.
